Dear Filipino Community Presidents and Leaders,
Re: Filipino Fiesta 2024
The Filipino Fiesta of Sacramento & Vicinity invites you to be a sponsor for the biggest annual event on June 2, 2024, to be held at the Jose Rizal Community Center. The event is to commemorate the Philippines Independence Day by showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines. The theme of the Fiesta this year is “Honoring Those Who Prioritized The Safety and Wellness of the Filipino Community” .
The celebration will start with a parade of the different organizations at 9:30 am (assembly time) which ends at the Main Stage where the Opening Ceremony will begin. The program will include the presentation of a Resolution from the California State Assembly to the Bayanihan Clinic medical undergraduate students and volunteers from UC Davis. Invited local and state officials will be present. The entertainment will include youth and adult local talents. There will be food, vendors, and exhibits to share and learn about the culture, education, and the different programs or service to the community by non-profit groups and government agencies.
The parade committee would extend an invitation to be one of the line-up participants in our annual celebration. Your participation will make our event more memorable and colorful as we parade to the main stage. So, we ask you to grace our fiesta. There will be a parade contest and prizes.
The parade contest criteria are as follows – Most Colorful, Most Entertaining Group, Most Unique/Creative, Best in Native Costume, Most Participants, and Most Youthful Group.
Please feel free to contact us regarding any questions or concerns.
Sincerely yours,
Dinnah and Dave San Pedro
